ABSTRACT
Burn wound goes through the phases of wound healing. According to the degree, burn wound is healed through partial- or full-thickness wound healing mechanism. Partial-thickness wound healing process consists of epidermal and dermal repair. Full-thickness wound healing process has four major phases; hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. Full-thickness burn wound healing is different from incisional wound healing in that there is no hemostasis phase in burn wound. (J Korean Wound Management Soc 2008;4:20-23)
