ABSTRACT |
Vacuum Assisted Closure (V.A.C.) therapies for various wounds are increasing because it facilitate wound-healing capacity. A 66-year-old man was presented with a necrotic wound of lower leg after great saphenous vein harvest for coronary revascularization. After applications of V.A.C for two months, the wound size was decreased from 17X7cm to 7.5X4 cm, and the wound was healed completely without any complications after additional treatments with polyurethane foam for 2 months. The V.A.C can be a good option for the patient who can't tolerate the surgery because of poor general conditions such as cardiovascular problems like this case.
